The way Wake Forest lines up commencement speakers they make me want to go back and graduate every year. when I wrapped up grad school in 2002 we had former first lady Barbara Bush as our speaker. Not too shabby, even though the speech was 95% canned and delivered at another school 2 weeks prior. Since then the graduating classes and their families have had the pleasure of listening to Sen. John McCain (2002), John Chambers (2003) and Secretary of State Colin Powell (2004). Who do they get this year? The most well-known and probably most well-respected alumnus in Wake Forest history- Arnold Palmer (Class of '51). You can watch the webcast on May 16 if you're so inclined.
