Have You Hugged a Vet Today?

Meg was here for the long weekend and thus my complete lack of posts from Thursday until tonight. Before she packed up her suitcase today I grabbed my favourite t-shirt of hers (from UGA) so I could write down what it has on the back:

"I'm a pathologist, dermatologist, cardiologist, surgeon, gynecologist, neurologist, opthamologist, anesthesiologist, gastroenterologist, endocrinologist, pharmacist, orthopedist, radiologist, toxicologist, dentist, nutritionist... but you can call me a veterinarian for short."

The next time you take your pet to a vet take into consideration how incredibly broad and deep their field is before you gawk at the bill. Vets make your regular family doctor look like a specialist.
