I hearby call the election for Bush. With Bush having 246 of the necessary 270 votes and leading in Ohio (20) in New Mexico (5) by reasonably significant margins he should finish with at least 271 votes allowing him to keep the presidency. You heard it here first, or at least I did since I stopped watching tV coverage hours ago and have read nothing online but CNN's incoming results. Barring court appeals or other shenanigans we're in for four more years of Bush.
Good night.
Bush is pretty much just a smiling and dare I use the media-speak... 'folksy' face to put on the real people running the show behind the scenes. His performance when not being 'handled' speaks for itself. He's either a bumbling incompetent, incapable of articulating any response in a debate other than the talking points that were probably written on the back of his hand. Or he flys into a rage and starts getting into it with the moderator of a debate. Presidential stuff? Not bloody likely. Watching his performances on tv in the last few months and being able to stay outside the sphere of US-Media spin I can see him for what he is. He should have been impeached. Blatant lie after lie.
Maybe there's people out there that NEED foreign policy summed up in terms of black and white, good and evil... not me. I'd like to see a leader who can measure both sides, empathize without sympathizing and recognize that foreign policy is a little more complex than exterminating prairie dogs down at the ranch.

Bush is a moron. Its not him who targetted the south and midwest but his campaign machine and hundreds of millions of greenbacks to spread his lies and misinformation.
So I repeat - BUSH IS A MORON!

God Save America...

I think a lot of things can fairly be said to criticize president re-elect George W Bush but I don't think he's a moron. He obviously knew who he needed to court to win re-election and he did it well. It didn't matter if he pissed off the northeast and Cali because he didn't need them to win. He targeted the conservative south and midwest and did it extremely well. If Bush is a moron what's Kerry for not being able to beat him? Is there a word for someone that loses to a moron? Kerry might have been better for the international community but American voters don't exactly have a history of putting internatinoal affairs before domestic issues (and in this case homeland security and the war on terror is a domestic issue).

I agree with Janice! Maybe Kerry is wishy-washy but I think that is more media hype than reality. Kerry is not my first pick but he is the far superior choice in so many aspects. I'm tired of the argument for Bush saying "at least he's honest and does what he says"..! That's Horse-sh_t! So, if he says, "Canada is a small player and therefore doesn't deserve the US's attention" or "IRAN is next....!" are people (dumb Yanks) to blindly accept that just because he does what he says (and hides/twists so many more facts/truths)???!!
Sorry but to all those American readers who may have stumbled onto this site - BUSH IS A MORON!!! ADMIT IT!! Don't knock our leaders and politicians for acknowledging the truth! Your own people and comedians have said far worse!

CRAP!! It's mid-day here as the results are coming in, and it's all terribly sad. Maybe the US can stand another 4 years of the guy, but I'm not sure the rest of the world can handle it!
