How cold was it in Ottawa lete this afternoon? It was cold enough that as I walked from McDonald's to the grocery store (Loblaw's) on Rideau Street that the last third of my Coke froze after walking about 4 blocks.
It was about -25C without factoring in the windchill.
The trick to staying warm is A) long underwear under loose paints and B) having good head protection- a toque (stocking cap) and a loose scarf in front of your neck/chin area that can cover up your lower face when you walk with your head down. The key is keeping it loose so that when you breathe into it a warm blast of exhaled air is diverted up in front of your face. It works people.
The trick for those wearing glasses is to wear those big honking ski goggles over top of your specs!!! Heh, heh

You're right, and I have no solution for that problem. I should have remembered that rom my glasses wearing days.

Your scarf trick doesn't work if you wear glasses, because you end up walking blind as your glasses fog to opaque. Where's your magical solution for we visually impaired folk?

Wow, that's cold. The closest I've been to your neck of the woods was a show we did in New Brunswick a couple of years back. I don't remember the temperature, but it was cold enough that I walked around with a blanket (ala Linus) for much of the day...
