Everyone has ordinary (or not so ordinary) little pleasures that make them happy. I'm not talking about your friends, family or significant other, but the little things that brighten a day. I don't know where this came from, but for me happiness is:
wearing new socks for the first time
a Bruins/Habs game
stumbling across a Simpsons episode from a previous season that I've never seen
the ocean in any weather
the first snowfall
marking out for a great wrestling match/storyline
a good band in a good pub
mountains
web traffic
a good steak
afternoon naps on the couch
new music
rediscovering a great album you haven't listened to in years
What does it for you?
Time? I've got nothing but time.
If happiness is web traffic. Today is Christmas. Normally I get around 100 hits a day. Last week I started getting around 200. I set a record with 285 on Thursday and broke that with 293 on Monday. Yesterday I had 416 hits, which I equalled by noon today. I'm now at 614 and it's not even 5pm.
Where are the hits coming from? From Google searches for Joe Shmo/Schmo/Schmoe. Alas, soon Joe will be forgotten and my hits will plummet back down to earth.

Yeah, Boon's a very funny guy. Totally worth the trip through the archives if you have the time.

Happiness is watching the Bruins shut out the Canadiens in Montreal.
Happiness is listening to the Habd get booed in their own rink.

This post reminds me of this essay I read awhile back: http://www.fluffybunny.com/happiness.html
"Happiness is the finding an ATM with the card still in it. " is my favorite quote.
Happiness for me right now would be a bed and some steak tips. Not necessarily together.
