New Games- Hooray!

It's been entirely too long since I posted something you can use to waste time at work. I got this site off of a daily calendar my boss gave me, so playing these games is work related. My personal favourite is Hexxagon.

Rhode Island Gets Me Every Time

So you think you're good at geography, huh? Well let's see if you can drop and drag all 50 states. If you get them wrong they stay on the map which gives you clues for other ones. If you get them right they just disappear. It's harder than you'd think but I did better than I thought thanks to some key mistakes that made the tricky states easier.

If you need an ego boost after getting clobbered by American geography you can always try Canada. If you're Canadian and get less than a perfect score you need to have your passport revoked. Americans are allowed two mistakes but even that's pushing it.

My apologies to Heather for not mentioning where I found this. I also apologize for the preceeding hockey post which was inadvertantly posted on the wrong site. I'm surprised it's the first time I've done that. I'm leaving it up though. Deal with it.

Milestone of Shame

How exciting has my weekend been? Well, I just hit 500 wins on Spider Solitaire on my computer. I started the weekend at about 475 or so I think (I have a 36% winning percentage). What have you been up to?

One of the very first things I ever posted about on this site was zefrank.com. For some reason I hadn't checked it out in a very, very long time but I stopped by today out of sheer boredom and found plenty of things amuse myself with. One of them is this game where you have to try to hold down your mouse button for the amount of time specified. Sounds easy, doesn't it? Give it a try. My best score so far is 1.8.

Because it's Friday afternoon, you're just putting in time at your desk until you can go home and I haven't posted any games in a while.

For hours of aggravating amusement I bring you "Just Letters." Watch and see what words other people are trying to make. So far I've seen sex, gay love, d cup and various profanities as well as names.

Brainteaser

Want a brainteaser to start off your work week? Try to figure out what's odd about the following paragraph. Brainteaser compliements of Heather. I'd link to her site but I don't want it to be that easy for you to find the answer. So here it is:

Grow

If you're finished with the Crimson Room try Grow. I found it a lot harder and a lot more fun. Max score is 20,000. There are no instructions but you'l figure out the point pretty quickly.

Super Dudes

If you're that particular kind of geek that likes role playing/card games like Magik or let's say...Lunch Money, you should check out Super Dudes. Basically you sing up, make yourself a card character and play against other people online. When you start you get a hand of 5 or 6 different types of cards and you challenge people to fight you. The fun part is that you don't play in turns. You submit your 5 cards in order when you make the challenge and your opponent submits theirs when they accept without seeing yours. The point is to guess what they'll play and then effectively block and counterattack. Yes, I know I'm a geek, but I'm counting on some other geeks I know to sign up. If you do let me know and I'll let you know how to find me. The site also has other games like pinball, matching games, etc that can keep you busy if you're trying to put off doing work.

Crimson Room

If you want to drive yourself crazy try to get yourself out of the Crimson Room. Bonus points if you don't get help from Google.
